This strap is an artificially aged fake of modern manufacture. The field is raised relative to the border and the entire
strap is much thicker than most original Civil War period pieces. The leaves are rather two dimensional conpared to
originals. I have seen the same strap being sold as a reproduction for reenactors for a couple bucks.
