Union Army Uniforms and Insignia of the Civil War
Musician's Uniforms
Drummer holding Model 1840 Musician's Sword
He does not appear to be wearing a musician's uniform coat. It is difficult to clearly
see the details of the uniform but it does appear that the coat has shoulder loops. This suggests that the uniform may have been a early war state issued one not to the U.S. pattern.
